Rinker Entrepreneurship and Training Center at BCause Foundation launched a long-term programme on civil and entrepreneurial culture for secondary school students. The Academy of Dreams will offer young people a motivation for personal development and the acquisition of skills necessary for their realization - leadership, teamwork, communication skills and entrepreneurship.
Young people are encouraged to engage in volunteering and start their own initiatives. Their participation can become an important part of their future CV, as well as to help them find direction in their career development. The trainers’ team is from the BCause Foundation and the "Future Now" Community centre.
The first training took place on 25-26 February 2017. The provocative title "Do not stop!Act-together! Act upon! gathered 30 students from the Club of NSO, Targovishte, N.Pushkarov Professional High School of Agriculture, Popovo and Secondary School "V.Levski", Devnya. The youth groups went through the process from "I do not like it" to "what can be done" and started to form teams that dream and look for ways to change their cities - to have more places for young people to spend their free time and development of talents - sports, entertainment, dancing, as well as improving the conditions of the municipal shelter for stray animals in Targovishte. They will continue to work on detailed planning of the steps to achieve their ideas and attract followers and support from local communities.
"The Academy of Dreams does not only give knowledge about what is it looks like to be an initiative and active citizen," said Lyudmila Atanassova, who runs the programme. "It is important for us that young people acquire skills to work in a team, to set goals for long-term efforts, to make it easy, to believe in themselves and their dreams.”
