On August 19, 2016, twenty four organisations dealing with the development of social entrepreneurship in Bulgaria presented to MLSP a stand on "Development of Social Entrepreneurship" with a budget of BGN 15 million under OP "Human Resources Development". The BCause Foundation is one of the initiators of the stand.
The stand points the main problem of allowing municipalities as beneficiaries of the program, which would violate European criteria and challenge the conformity with the law of the scheme as well as the effectiveness of the funds used. There are concerns that the rules of free and fair competition on the market will be violated and unsteady and inefficient market models will be created. Those who support the stand present a proposal for further discussion.
